Expanded Currency Coverage

We've significantly expanded our supported currencies / symbols, adding new global instruments including:

Enhanced Data Accuracy

We've enhanced the precision of our midpoint spot rates by sourcing data directly from market trading pairs and tier-1 liquidity providers whenever available, providing you with unparalleled accuracy and reliability.

Comprehensive Historical Data

Our historical data coverage has undergone a massive expansion, now offering up to 55 years of historical forex data (varying by currency). This leap from approximately 9 years of data allows you to conduct even more comprehensive market analysis and backtesting.

Flexible API Key Usage

We’re making API integration smoother than ever by supporting additional API key headers. This flexibility complements the existing api_key parameter, simplifying your implementation and security management. There are now 4 ways to pass your API key in requests:

• URL query parameter: ?api_key=<key>
• HTTP header: X-API-Key: <key>
• HTTP header: Authorization: Bearer <key>
• HTTP header: Authorization: Basic <credentials>    
• Credentials are base64 encoded "<id>:<key>". Use anything (or blank) for the id.    
• e.g. base64_encode(":myapikey");

Beta Access Information

You can now access these beta features directly via our dedicated beta API endpoint:

• Endpoint: https://api.beta.fastforex.io/
• Your existing API keys are fully compatible with the beta API.
• All existing documentation still applies: https://fastforex.readme.io/reference/introduction
